About
At NomNom, every cookie is a labour of love. Inspired by family, tradition and the warm, fragrant hum of a kitchen while something bakes.
Whenever I left home for boarding school or university, Mama would tuck a Tupperware of cookies into my bag. When I arrived at the boarding house or student accommodation, I would find that my friends’ mothers had baked for them too, and an exchange would soon follow. Years later, Mama did the same for my brother. It wasn’t only about the sweetness of the treat; it was the sweetness of being remembered; of being loved, even when far away.
My late aunt, Mamane Ouma (my mom’s younger sister) was the family’s true alchemist. Always experimenting, always tweaking, she turned classic recipes into small, unforgettable moments. She taught me that baking is both science and soul. Every NomNom flavour is a quiet conversation with her spirit: bold, curious and full of heart. Her legacy reminds us that baking isn’t just tradition; it’s a creative act of love.
Then there are the cookie lovers in my life: my husband, dad, sister, aunts, uncles and brothers. They don’t just eat cookies; they celebrate them. Cookies are part of the furniture of our lives. At every gathering and celebration, you’ll find them somewhere (Mamane Ouma always had the key to the room where the cookies were kept, iykyk).
In the kitchen you’ll find everyone pitching in. We laugh, sneak tastes, and our hands move together in a steady, joyful rhythm of collaboration. It’s community. It’s connection. It’s family wrapped in the smell of something freshly baked.
Every bite is crafted with premium ingredients, a twist of innovation, and the kind of love you can taste.
At the end of the day, NomNom is about more than cookies. It’s about people. It’s about moments. It’s the kind of joy that makes you close your eyes and say:
mmmm... Cookies.
